About Ayurvedic Institute

With the society switching over to traditional Ayurvedic treatment and medications, the need for professionally trained doctors and therapists is on the rise. Vasudeva Vilasam Ayurvedic Institute caters to this increasing demand for professionally trained Ayurvedic therapists.

Over a century ago, when the Secretary to the Governor of Madras Presidency, John Garstin visited Trivandrum, he received treatment from our founder. Impressed with his recovery, he advised the Governor to give permission open the first Pathasala (school) for Ayurveda. Our founder was the first Superintendent of the Pathasala. Now the Pathasala is the Government Ayurveda College in Trivandrum.
